Chaos

So tonight has been an pretty off the wall night. Our four new friends from Florida have left us, along with Eric from Denver and we already miss their company. But we have some new friends that have joined us tonight from Indianapolis (South Bend) who seem to have both high spirits and energy (which we're going to need). Tomorrow our friends from Chicago, Scott, Shannon, Cherise and Billy, along with Doug from Denver will be leaving us as well. We hope they all get home safely and find everything as they left it or better. We also hope that our new colleagues will find have an easy transition into our lifestyle down here and become as great friends to us as those who are leaving or have left already.

PS: Hi Grandma :]

Hi Guys,
You are all so used to doing this E-mail stuff but as Dave will verify, this is new for me. I just want to say how very thankful I am that you are all having the oppertunity to do this wonderful deed. Not only do you effect the people in LA. but so many people up here are following your progress and feel a little part of the effort. My sincerest thanks also goes to the Dykes Family. You will surely receive your blessings in Heaven!!! Thank you.

To the new and the old group:

I think I snored on the planes back to Denver last night. On the Dallas to Denver leg the stewardess had to wake me at landing from my peaceful slumber. Beth Ann met me at the airport and was it was wonderful to be home. I will be picking up Doug in about an hour and a half. His plane was delayed a bit.

I met the district rep. of the EPA at the bar in the airport. He told me 350,000 cars, 60,000 boats are destroyed, 160,000 homes will be bulldozed, and 20,000,000 tons of rubish need to be disposed of. The problem is that no one wants the junk! Imagine that.

Well, I miss everyone and appreciated the time that I could spend with all. It will be cherished for a lifetime.

Eric

PS I don't miss the heat and humidity, but the people I do.
